It is a widely acknowledged fact that the onset of the dreaded exam period increases the appeal of almost any mundane commonplace activity.

2nd year psychology exams loom and inexplicably the number of watchable day time tv programmes have doubled, the cupboard that has grown mould as a result of neglect throughout the past year is clean and the sheets on the bed have been changed. And then comes the curse of the dolphin olympics.

Now normally the odd computer game doesnt go amis, but the amount of attention this game has received really is unparalleled to anything that non-revision induced playing has ever produced! The mindless jumps, tail-slides and 'missions to mars' is the stuff of God's compared to the rote repetitions of Deutsch and Deutsch's 'Late selection model of auditory attention'.... and the drive to gain that extra 1000 points before beginning yet another long slog in the library.
